A short film Sunny wrote, directed, and acted in, but was later deleted from his YouTube channel. Sunny created a YouTube channel when he was 8 years old where he would create origami and YouTube Let's Play videos. He was also interested in being a basketball player; however, he found his love in cinema around 2020. From 2020, he has made many short films / skits, and continues to make more in the future and hopes to be a professional director.
Early Life
Sunny was born in Phoenix, Arizona. When Sunny was 8 years old, he made a YouTube Channel where he would post origami videos and would get hate comments on his videos of origami. Sunny would get on average 100 views per video. While at that time, he had a big inspiration with basketball, but everything would change when he found his love for cinema.
Career
The Dirty Barber (Short Film) The Dirty Barber is a short film Sunny wrote, directed, and acted in, where a barber (Sunny Easton) turns crazy and hunts down his customer (Jayden). While all of this is happening, a security guard (Chris Dupré) tries to save the customer before the dirty barber can get him. After posting the short film on his YouTube channel, it got a lot of recognition around his school and friends. This short film inspired him to create better and more professional short films. Not long after The Dirty Barber was published, he deleted the short film from his YouTube channel. When an interviewer asked why he deleted The Dirty Barber, Sunny ignored the question and went on to a different subject.
The Deal (Short Film) A short film Sunny created in a single day and was rushed. Sunny stated that the short film was made in "two hours". The Deal is about a druggie (Jadin Cosme) meets up with a dealer (Sunny Easton) and ends up making an exchange for drugs. While in the process of making the deal, the dealer found out the druggie had no money and the dealer pulls out a gun on the druggie. Unfortunately for the dealer, the druggie steals the gun from the dealer and shoots the dealer; however, the dealer survives. Sunny said, "The Deal was a huge hassle, but we ended up getting it done".
The Gutter (Short Film) The Gutter is a short film Sunny is currently working on and is in production. It is a sequel to his previous short film The Deal.
Name Change
After Sunny woke up one morning, he doesn't recall why, but he decided to have a name change. He found that a different name would be more preferable to him than his birth name (Matthew Garcia). He thought of many different names but always had Easton in his mind as a last name. He had always wanted a new identity, and this may have led to the decision that Easton was how he liked the old feel of the name. Sunny doesn't mind being called Matthew but prefers Sunny.
