SuperM is an upcoming K-pop supergroup, expected to debut in October 2019 under SM Entertainment and Capitol Records.[1][2][3] The group will consist of members previously debuted in SM Entertainment boy groups: Taemin of SHINee, Kai and Baekhyun of Exo, and Taeyong, Mark, Ten, and Lucas of NCT.[2]

SuperM was unveiled at the 2019 Capitol Congress, an event by music label Capitol Records, and were referred to in promotions as the "Avengers of K-Pop."[4][1] The "Super" in the group name refers to the accumulated talent of the individual members and the "M" means "master" or "matrix."[2]

The group is expected to debut in October 2019 in the US and will be produced by SM Entertainment founder Lee Soo-Man; he stated that the group was created to foster a stronger connection between the Eastern and Western K-pop music market, and that the group's focus would be on the "core" musical and visual aspects of K-pop.[2][5] Capitol Records will manage US promotions.[1][6]
