Supreet Kaur

Supreet Kaur is a development economist currently serving as Associate Professor of Economics at the University of California, Berkeley. Her research focuses on labor markets in developing countries, incorporating insights from psychology and behavioral economics. She is the recipient of a Sloan Research Fellowship, and a National Science Foundation CAREER Award.
Biography[edit]
Kaur received her BS in Operations Research from Columbia University, followed by her MPA in International Development from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government. In 2012, she received a PhD in Political Economy and Government, also from the Kennedy School.
In 2012, Kaur joined the Department of Economics at Columbia University as an Assistant Professor. In 2016, she joined the University of California, Berkeley, where she is currently a tenured Associate Professor of Economics.
