Surendra Yadav (born 1972), also known as Surendra Singh Yadav, is an Indian politician from Madhya Pradesh. He serves as the President of the Gwalior City District Congress Committee of the Indian National Congress.
Political career
Surendra Yadav was appointed President of the Gwalior City District Congress Committee on 16 August 2025. His appointment was part of the Indian National Congress’s organisational restructuring programme, Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan, under which district-level leadership appointments were announced across Madhya Pradesh.[1][2]
He succeeded Devendra Sharma as district president and assumed charge at the Congress office in Gwalior following his appointment.[3]
Prior to his appointment as district president, Yadav held organisational responsibilities within the Congress party, serving as a district organisation minister (sangathan mantri) in Gwalior.[4]
Public activities
As district president, Yadav has participated in party meetings, organisational programmes, and public demonstrations in Gwalior. These activities included membership drives, internal organisational meetings, and protests related to civic administration, governance issues, and voting rights.[5][6]
He has also been associated with protest marches and candlelight demonstrations organised by the Congress party on local and state-level issues.[7][8][9]
