Suresh Dulal
Suresh Dulal is a Nepalese athlete who first specialised in Mountain Biking Cross Country in Nepal. Suresh became national champion in the early 2000s and dominated the field until 2007 and is labelled as one of the pioneers of the sport in Nepal[1] and inspired a whole new generation of athletes.
Suresh moved from Nepal to the United Kingdom and expanded his remit moving to complete in gruelling Iron Man events.
Suresh is arguably the first Nepalese athlete to compete and complete the Ironman event. In 2011 Suresh competed in Ironman Wales event, completing the 140.6 mile course in an impressive 11:09:00 [2] Suresh went on to compete in other events over the years with a highlight in the Iron Man Austria in 2013 with splits of 00:58:04 for the swim, 05:12:39 for the cycle and 03:26:16 for the marathon to finish in a total time of 09:44:04.
