Surge
Surge is a threat that you can encounter in The Outdoors.
Method
To detect if Surge is about to spawn, you can look out for two different things:
- If you see lightning, it means that Surge is going to spawn within the next minute.
- If you see yellow lightning or a yellow Groundskeeper, it means that lightning will strike in the next 5 minutes.
Once you see lightning, you should immediately hide by crouching on the ground, in an open location.
Strategy
Most professional players will hide as soon as they see yellow lightning or a yellow groundskeeper, as when lightning strikes, it is likely too late. Most professional players will also prevent staying underneath a roof or anything above them, as it will likely make surge take a lot longer, increasing the risk of another entity attacking you while surge is still in the game. You can't use closets while surge is attacking, as it will not allow you to crouch while you are in a closet.
Information
Surge deals 40 damage if he does not see you crouching when he passes by. Surge appears exclusively inside of the outdoors floor, and the Trick or Treat Vision.
