Surulere is an energetic area with a blend of upscale cocktail bars, pulsing clubs, and laid-back beer parlors on the busy Ojuelegba road. Roadside food stalls primarily selling suya, or customary meat kebabs, dot the area, and there are mid-range design and home stores on Ogunsanya Road and in the Leisure Mall. The Public Theater Iganmu has international shows, cutting-edge plays, and contemporary dance exhibitions.
