Susan Shumsky is an American teacher, speaker, and author focused in the fields of personal development and spirituality.[1][2]

Shumsky has practiced self-development disciplines since 1967. For 22 years, she practiced deep meditation in the Himalayas, the Swiss Alps, and other secluded areas, under the personal guidance of spiritual master from India, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, founder of Transcendental Meditation and the guru of Beatles and of Deepak Chopra. She served on Maharishi's personal staff for six years in Spain, Mallorca, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland.[3] She then studied New Thought and metaphysics for three more decades while earning a Doctor of Divinity. Shumsky is co-founder of Divine Revelation, a technology for contacting the divine presence, hearing and testing the inner voice, and receiving clear divine guidance.

She has numerous media appearances including Woman's World, GQ, Popular Mechanics, Cosmopolitan, Chicago Tribune,[4] Los Angeles Times,[5] Washington Post,[6] along with nationally syndicated and network TV and radio,[7] such as Alan Colmes on FOX News, Coast to Coast AM with George Noory,[8] and William Shatner's Weird or What?. She has been published in varous media outlets including USA Today[9] and Salon[10] and is also featured in the film, 3 Magic Words and The Illumined Ones.

She is the author of 14 books teaching meditation, intuition, affirmation, prayer, and spiritual healing, published by Simon & Schuster/Touchstone, Random House/Celestial Arts, Red Wheel/Weiser/New Page, and Skyhorse Publishing.[11] Shumsky is also the founder of Divine Travels, which offers overseas tours to sacred destinations and holistic-themed seminars-at-sea on cruise ships. As of 2018, she has produced 29 sacred destinations tours overseas, dozens of meditation retreats, and 15 holistic conferences at sea.[12]
