Sushama is a rāga in Carnatic classical music (a musical scale of South Indian music) created by M. Balamuralikrishna[1] and Introduced this raga to carnatic music with a composition 'Ayya Guruvarya'[2] dedicated to guru saint Tyagaraja. It is a janya rāgam (derived scale) of the 20th Melakarta rāgam Natabhairavi.[3][4]
