Svante Bjarne Wold, born March 14, 1941 in Engelbrekt's parish in Stockholm, died January 4 , 2022 in Hollis, New Hampshire , USA , [ 3 ] was a Swedish chemist and professor of chemometry at Umeå University .
Svante Wold was the son of Herman Wold and Anna-Lisa Arrhenius-Wold , brother of Agnes Wold and granddaughter of Svante Arrhenius .
Wold received his doctorate in 1971 at Umeå University, where he received a position as associate professor the following year. In 1986 he was appointed professor of chemometry at Umeå University. He was elected in 1997 as a member of the Royal The Academy of Engineering Sciences in its Department IV, Chemical Technology.
