SwiftStack
SwiftStack [1] is a worldwide company based in San Francisco, California that develops software-defined object storage based on the AWS S3 API and OpenStack Swift open source platform. The SwiftStack scale-out object storage software platform is called SwiftStack and is comprised of the SwiftStack controller, cluster, SwiftStack client, middleware, and 1space. A SwiftStack cluster is based on OpenStack Swift open-source [2]. SwiftStack software deploys on industry-standard x86 servers to store objects and files. SwiftStack 1space allows managing data across private, hybrid and public cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, and Microsoft Azure [3] and is compatible with the OpenStack Swift, the Amazon S3 API, and Microsoft Azure Blob Storage. SwiftStack is currently the leading developer [4] for Swift with significant contributions from HP, Rackspace, Red Hat, NTT, NEC, IBM and more.
