Sydney Uni Polo Club
The University of Sydney Polo Club (SUPS) is a not-for-profit sport club of Sydney University and was established in late 2012 by Georgia Higgins and Sophie Utz.[1] It was the first University Polo club in Australia.
The club competes competitively and encourages people to try the sport of Polo.
Competitions[edit]
The club has competed locally in Sydney and teams have included both current students and Alumni.
The club have also competed overseas:
- International University Polo Challenge (IUPC) - In July 2015, SUPS competed internationally for the first time at the Acquedotto Romano Polo Club in Rome.[1] Where they placed third behind University of London and Cornell University.[2] The team was Max Lloyd, Georgia Higgins, Jasper White, Hugh Coachrane.
- St Andrews Intermediate - In April 2019, SUPS competed at the St Andrews Intermediate tournament in Scotland. They won, beating out Harvard University.[2] The team was Cole Aguirre, Arham Mehdi, Sophie Utz, Sam Lee.
