Syed Abid Husain

Syed Abid Husain was an Indian writer and professor. He taught philosphy and urdu at Jamia Millia Islamia.^[1]

Awards

He was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Award in Urdu in 1956.^[2] A year later, in 1957, he received The Padma Bhushan for his contribution in language and litreature.^[3]

Books

He authored a book titled The National Culture of India.^[4]

Legacy

The Syed Abid Husain Senior Secondary School at Jamia Millia Islamia is named after him.
