Syed Basar Shueb is a Pakistani business magnate, investor and businessman. [3][4][5][6][7] He is the Board Member, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of International Holding Company (IHC). A 2021 ranking by Forbes Middle East listed Syed Basar Shueb as one of the Top CEOs in the Middle East. IHC was also a part of Forbes’ 2020 list of “The Middle East’s Top 100 Companies”.[8][9]

Shueb was instrumental in International Holding Company (IHC) listing its subsidiaries, Alpha Dhabi Holding, Multiply Group and Zee Stores on Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange (ADX). He oversees over 48000 employees of International Holding Company (IHC) in 207 different entities. [10][11][12]

He is also the founder of PAL District Cooling which was established in the year 2006.[13][14][15][16][9][17] He is also a Director of Tamouh, Reem Finance, as well as The Minton Spring Water Company Limited in the UK, and is a Non-Executive Director of K-TIG in Australia.[18][19] Syed also holds positions in companies such as Chimera Investments and Chimera Capital Limited, Keyhole TIG (K-TIG) Limited and PAL Group of Companies.[20][21]

Early Life[edit]

Syed joined the Royal Group in 1998. In 2001, he became the CEO of PAL Technology. Later, he was appointed the CEO of PAL Group.[22] He previously served as a Director of AgiLight, Inc in the United States, and as a licensed Director of Macquarie Capital Middle East.[23]
