Sylvana Q Sinha

Sylvana Quader Sinha is a Bangladeshi-American CEO, founder and investor who currently sits as Chair of the Board at Praava Health., a company she founded in 2014. As of 2025, Praava Health has served nearly 1 million patients and is one of the fastest-growing healthcare companies in Bangladesh. Prior to Praava, she worked primarily as a lawyer and foreign policy advisor. In that role, she led U.S. foreign policy efforts and advised private clients on business matters in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa.

Sinha is a life member of the Council of Foreign Relations, serves on the board of PATH and is part of the Wellesley College Albright Ambassadors Council. She is a guest lecturer at Columbia Business School and was part of Mount Sinai's Arnold Institute of Global Health Taskforce for Global Advantage. She is also a member of WEF’s Universal Health Coverage 2030 Private Sector Constituency. She has appeared as a contributor on CNBC, and has written for the Harvard Business Review, the Council on Foreign Relations.

Early life and education

Sinha earned her Bachelor's in Philosophy and Economics at Wellesley College in 1999, her juris doctorate from Columbia Law School, and her Master's in Public Administration and International Development at Harvard Kennedy School, both in 2004.

Praava Health

Sinha founded Praava Health in 2014. The company is the first and only international standard outpatient healthcare system in Bangladesh. Praava provides digital health offerings, remote care management, and in-person patient care. Praava's model and business plan have been studied and written about for emerging market healthcare and venture building work, including by Harvard Business School and the Gates Foundation.
