Sylvia Mann (born March 1990[1]) is an activist who was the editor of Freedom, a London-based anarchist website and biannual journal published by Freedom Press. Previously a fashion model, she is involved in London leftist protest politics.

Career

Modeling

In the 1990s to the 2010s, Mann worked as a model.[2][3][4]

Mann is the subject of a 2023 photo-documentary book by Angela Hill, titled Sylvia. The pictures of Mann were shot when she was between 11 and 18. Hill described the book as being about "nature and being" and not fashion, giving "a worldview of one person". [5][6]

Journalism

Mann has written for The Independent,[7] and was the editor of Freedom, a London-based anarchist website and biannual journal published by Freedom Press.[8][9]

Personal life

From 2017 to 2019,[7][10][11] Mann was in a long-term relationship with Lauri Love.[2] As of 2024, she is engaged to Barrett Brown and they live in Bournemouth, England at her mother's house. In an interview with New York Magazine, Brown said she is an ecoterrorist.[9]
