Symphony Ventures, also known as Symphony, is a business consulting and managed services company specializing in Intelligent Automation and Robotic Process Automation for enterprise clients. The company is headquartered in London, UK[1], with regional offices in the US, Mexico, Argentina, India, and Poland.[2]
Symphony's business model involves implementing and managing automation solutions for its clients. The processes that are automated are often back-office tasks that are manual or repetitive in nature. This phenomenon of outsourcing tasks to robotic process automation is often called no-shoring.
History
In 2014, Symphony Ventures was co-founded by BPO industry veterans: David Poole, Pascal Baker, David Brain, and Ian Barkin.[3][4]
On August 9, 2017, Symphony Ventures received $4.5 million in series-A financing from private equity firm, Livingbridge.[3]
On October 22, 2018, Symphony Ventures was acquired by SYKES Enterprises for £52 million ($69 million).[5][6][7]
Acquisitions
In September 2017, Symphony Ventures acquired the Mexican regional consultancy firm, RPA4Excellence, which specialized in Robotic Process Automation. [8]
Partners
Symphony Ventures has partnered with Robotic Process Automation software firms, Blue Prism[9], UiPath[10], Automation Anywhere[11], and Thoughtonomy[12].[13]
On April 2017, Symphony Ventures announced a partnership with The Hackett Group to integrate their benchmarking and research capabilities with Symphony’s technical implementation and strategy capabilities.[14][15]
On March 5, 2018, Symphony Ventures partnered with IT Governance, a data protection and compliance firm, to offer new compliance solutions in light of GDPR regulations.[16]
On July 24, 2018, Symphony Ventures partnered with European consulting firm Sopra Steria to accelerate Intelligent Automation in the private and public sectors.[17]
