TéléMiroir was a French regional television channel, available in Gard. It existed between 3 November 2004 and 7 February 2011.[1]

History[edit]

Following the call for applications launched on November 25, 2003 in Nîmes (Gard), the company TMS, proposed in partnership with the local authorities and whose main shareholders are Philippe Reig and Daniel Martinez, was shortlisted by decision of November 3, 2004. After approving Télé Miroir's agreement on April 12, 2005, the Council, in a decision dated May 17, 2005, granted the channel a ten-year broadcasting license. (source CSA)

In February 2005, it is authorized by the CSA for broadcasting on cable and starts on the terrestrial network.

In 2006, Antennes Locales, a subsidiary of Groupe Hersant Média (GHM), acquired a 62% stake in the company.

In June 2008, TéléMiroir on the Bas Rhône transmitter from DTT.

In 2009, TéléMiroir leaves GHM. The channel is taken over by its two managers Christophe Musset and Pierre-Paul Castelli. It became a subsidiary of the Médias du Sud group, which includes the Paru Vendu Bagnols-sur-Cèze franchise and TV Sud, a television channel promoting tourism broadcast in hotels and tourist offices in the Gard region. In December, it launched TéléMiroir Magazine, a fortnightly television program with a print run of 50,000 copies distributed free of charge in the greater Nîmes area, in 700 depots.

In 2010, TéléMiroir integrates the new group Médias du Sud

February 7th, 2011, TéléMiroir merges with 7L TV and changes its name to TV Sud with two regional outlets respectively TV Sud Nîmes and TV Sud Montpellier.
