Andy Alberto Almendarez (born August 26th, 1989), known professionally as TC El Control Total also knows as The Mix God, Is an American singer and rapper from Anaheim CA. Both of his parents (Miriam Isabel Betancourth & Jorge Alberto Almendarez) are were born in Honduras but migrated to the U.S. before he was born. Almendarez's passion for music started when he was 17 years old when he befriended Frankie El Jefe who equipped him with a microphone and the software as a gift so that he may record himself. After graduating high school in 2007 he took some time to mourn for his younger sister (Abbey Lizeth Almendarez) who had passed away at the age of 10 a couple months prior in a fatal car accident.
His parents received money from his sister's death, they used most of it for her burial but the rest they wanted no part of. So they decided to invest it and pay for TC's school. TC knew he had to bear the weight of making not only his parents proud but more importantly making sure that his sister's death would not be in vain. At that point, Failure ceased to be an option.
In 2010 TC received his certificate of completion for the recording engineer program. With newly gained knowledge of the craft he started freelancing his engineering services. As the years passed his skills got sharpened and his clientele grew, earning him the name "The Mix God".
