TEDxCET

TEDxCET is an independently organized TED event in Trivandrum, India. It is organized by the students of College of Engineering, Trivandrum (CET) for which the event is named.[1][2]

History[edit]

First organised in 2013 by Tejas Kumar and George Jacob, final year students at CET, the theme of the event was the concept of Avant-Garde.[3] The event included eight speakers from a variety of disciplines and various cultural performances like the traditional art form of Pulluvan patu and the ancient martial art, Kalaripayatu were organised as a part of the event. The 2017 edition was held under the theme ‘Ecdysis’, to highlight the importance of shedding of the old and embracing the new.[4]
