Tosin Odunfa (born Oluwatosin Odunfa on the 26th of September, 1980 ) is a Politician, Communications Expert[1], Award winning media personality[2] and founder of two startup businesses: TERAOLIVE, a media communications agency and Lekki Real Property Co. a Real Estate Advisory and Marketing business.
He is also a seasoned TV presenter[3] [4]who is famous for co-hosting ‘VVIP Events’ on Ebonylife TV[5] Channel 165 on DSTV.
Early Life and Education[edit]
Odunfa who hails from Ogun state, Nigeria is the third child of four children and had his primary education at Star School University of Ibadan. He later had his secondary education at the renowned International School University of Lagos before proceeding to bag a Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering at Howard University, Washington DC. Subsequently, he obtained a post-graduate diploma in Business Administration from Northampton Business School, England.
Career[edit]
Odunfa made his official entry into the media industry when he moved back to Nigeria in 2009. He became an On-air personality with Classic FM 97.3 in 2010.
Thereafter, Odunfa joined the EbonyLife TV team after he was successful in the reality TV contest ‘Mo’s Search.
In 2013, Odunfa became the Lagos correspondent at EbonyLife TV, Calabar where he had on-camera interviews with leaders and other important personalities in the political, business and entertainment spaces including Presidents Muhammadu Buhari and Goodluck Jonathan, Babatunde Fashola, Liyel Imoke, Ashish Thakkar, Oba Otudeko , Tony Elumelu, 2Face Idibia, Genevieve Nnaji, Dbanj, Wizkid, Flavour and many others.
When asked by The Guardian Life[6] about the most exciting thing about his work, he replied saying ‘one of the most exciting things about my line of work as a presenter and when I’m called to be MC is the calibre of people that I get to meet and interact with in close quarters. I’ve met and in many cases interviewed Presidents and Past Presidents of about four countries so far’.
He has also produced and presented for three (4) different TV programs on Ebonylife TV[7]: 'EL Reports' a business news magazine program; 'EL Now'[8] [9] [10]an Entertainment News Show, Play2Win a trivia game show and VVIP Events which covers behind the scenes and backstage interviews of a variety of corporate and social events like wedding, birthdays, product launches, award ceremonies, converts, among others.
Politics[edit]
Odunfa announced his political aspirations on September 26, 2018[11] for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives to represent the Yewa South/Ipokia Constituency[12] under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC)[13].
