TVN3 is a Chilean subscription channel, with programming dedicated to the historical archive of Televisión Nacional de Chile.
History
On June 8, 2023, it was reported that TVN registered the prototype of the logo of a new channel with the National Institute of Industrial Property (INAPI).[1] That same week, the signal began its testing phase.[2]
On June 23, 2023, the main channel presented a spot announcing a new channel with the signal's historical programs.
The TVN3 signal will broadcast the "cultural, sports, journalistic, entertainment, historical and unpublished landmarks" from the channel's extensive archive and will be included in free streaming services and on cable television.[3] Unlike REC TV, this channel does not contemplate the creation of new programs.
TVN3 began its broadcasts on July 26, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. local time, with a ceremony at the channel's premises, with the slogan "We are TVN3, your new signal"[4][5]. The following day, the signal reached the cable operator Zapping TV, using channel 27, being the first to include the signal in its programming.[6][7]
