Taikyu Jinja

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Taikyu Jinja was Shinto Shrine in Daegu during the Japanese occupation of Korea.

The main deities enshrined here were Amaterasu Omikami and Kunitama Omikami [simple], and Susanoo no Mikoto was also enshrined.

It was linked to imperialism and State Shinto rather than local support for Shintoism,[citation needed]

Japan's defeat in World War II led to the shrine's abolition on November 17, 1945
