Taj Yasin Maimoen (born 2 July 1983, Rembang, Central Java, Indonesia), also known as Gus Yasin, is an Indonesian politician who has served as the Deputy Governor of Central Java since 20 February 2025 for the 2025–2030 term. Previously, he served as the Deputy Governor of Central Java for the 2018–2023 period.
Before becoming deputy governor, Taj Yasin was a member of the Central Java DPRD from the United Development Party (PPP) faction representing the Central Java II electoral district. He sat on Commission E, which oversees welfare affairs including social issues, education, health, sports and youth, community and women's empowerment, child protection, family planning, regional libraries and archives, regional public hospitals and mental hospitals, as well as mental and spiritual matters. He is known as the son of a prominent cleric from Rembang, Central Java, Maimun Zubair (1928–2019).
[1] He is considered a representative of the religious community, especially Nahdlatul Ulama.[2][3][4] In addition, he is one of the chairmen of GP Ansor in Central Java.[5]
