Takenhofplein is a square and traffic junction in Nijmegen.
Takenhofplein was constructed from 1972 and put into use in 1974. The square forms the central connection between the districts Dukenburg and Lindenholt among themselves and with the provincial road 326. Provincial road 324 also connects to the square. The square is a traditional roundabout, just like Keizer Karelplein. Entering traffic from the right has priority over traffic on the square. There is also no lane marking on the square.
Several office buildings are located on Takenhofplein, and a large fountain with a basin 70 meters in diameter was built in the middle in 2000. On the edge of the fountain is a strophe by the Nijmegen poet H. H. ter Balkt that reads Hazelaar plantte ik voor haar vier poorten al haast vervluchtigd voor haar roze bloesem (in English: Hazel I planted before its four gates already almost faded for its pink blossoms). From 1983 to 1990, The work of art Blokken van Struycken (in English Blocks of Struycken) was on the square. Since 1995 it has been on Palkerplein, located further along the N326 towards Wijchen. Takenhofplein is named after a farmhouse from the 16th century that had to make way for urban expansion.
