Talal Faisal is an Egyptian novelist and psychiatrist who was born in Cairo on May 12, 1985.  He is best known for his novels, that are inspired by biographies of figures from Egypt's modern history, such as "Surour," which is based on a true story of the late Egyptian poet Naguib Sorour, and "Bligh," which is about the late musician Baligh Hamdi. He is currently working on the novel "Qutb," which will be based on Sayyid Qutb's biography.[1]

He joined the Faculty of Arts, Department of Philosophy, after completing his medical studies, and then moved to Germany to continue his psychiatry studies and received his PhD. Talal is multilingual, speaking English, German, and French in addition to his native Arabic.
