Talha Chahour

Talha Chahour (born December 10th,1997) is a Pakistani actor and model. Talha first appeared on television in 2017 in drama serial "Farz" but it was Geo TV's Jo Bichar Gaye in December 2021, based on the partition of Pakistan that gave him his big breakthrough.[1] Jo Bichar Gaye was Haissam Hussain's second historical drama following Dastaan (2010).Talha essayed the role of Capt. Z. I. Farrukh, on whose memoirs this play was based on.[2] Chahour received accolades from critics & audiences alike for his remarkable performance in the play.

Talha Chahour hails from Rahim Yar Khan, Pakistan. He belongs to a Punjabi family and embraces the culture of the region. His father is a lawyer and a member of the Punjab Bar Council. Talha is the youngest of six siblings. He moved to Lahore when he was fifteen. [3] There he studied at Government College University, Lahore and graduated in Political Science in 2018. Before appearing on television, Chahour took part in over 400 theatrical performance with the Ajoka Theatre and took part in numerous plays. Bhagat Singh, Bulleh Shah, Dara, Tiger of Mysore, Kabira Khara Bazar Mein, Lo Phir Basanti Aayi, Anhi Main Da Sufna and Manto's works were some of these[4]. He travelled to the U.S. and India as part of these productions.

Talha was active in the Dramatics Club of the college and performed in several plays. He also headed several acting workshops in the famous Amphitheatre of GCU. During his last year in college, he served as the General Secretary of the Dramatics Club (GCDC). Talha Chahour also holds a Roll of Honour for serving in GCDC.

Talha was also part of a fan-made Harry Potter movie called "The Last Follower and the Resurrection of Voldemort" in which he played the role of "Edward". This movie was screened in Talha's alma mater GCU in December 2021 and ran to packed houses[5]. Talha loves to read (and even write) poetry. Munir Niazi, Faiz Ahmad Faiz, Jaun Elia and Javed Akhtar are some of his favourite poets.[6]

In addition to acting, Chahour has appeared in a few advertisements and was a part of the Jazz and HBL commercials in 2021.
