She faced Republican incumbent Fran Millar in the General Election and lost, only receiving 37.4% of the vote. In 2016, she ran unopposed in the Primary and lost again to Millar, this time, securing 43.81% of the vote. In 2018, she faced Sally Harrell, a former Georgia State Representative, in the Democratic Primary.
