Tamara Seilman is a Franco-Sri Lankan photographer and videographer based in Portugal. Her practice frequently involves collaborations with choreographers, focusing on complex and sometimes agonizing themes of identity and the dynamics of bodily and conceptual movement.
Work
RESSAC is a film plunging viewers into the heart of Mali's plastic landfills, highlighting the extensive open-air dumps that contribute to air and soil pollution, posing significant health risks to the nearby population. Part documentary and part choreographed fiction, the work is a collaboration between Tamara Seilman and choreographer Tidiani N'Diaye.[1][2] RESSAC has been screened at TU Nantes,[3] Centre national de la danse,[4] and many others.
