Queen Tarinidevi or Tarini Mahadevi was a queen regent of the Chalukya dynasty and the mother of Chandraditya and the wife of Pulakeshin II. She was the daughter of King Kulabhadra, who accepted the wedding of Pulakeshin II and made Queen Tarini marry Pulakeshin II. She was the mother-in-law of Vijaya-Bhattarika, the wife of Chandraditya. She was the second queen of Pulakeshin II after he married the daughter of Durvinita, the Ganga ruler. She was the stepmother of Vikramaditya I. Vikramaditya I was her stepson, but his mother was the daughter of the Ganga ruler, Durvinita.
Queen Tarini, who was the daughter of Kulabhadra, was a beautiful princess. She is known to have been given the title of “Maharani”. This title was given by Pulakeshin II after marrying her. Chandraditya was the son of Pulakeshin II and Queen Tarini. She was the only mother who married Chandraditya to Princess Vijaya-Bhattarika. She obeyed her mother-in-law and soon became the second queen of the Chalukya dynasty.
