Tariq Mahmud Naim (Bengali: তারিক মাহমুদ নাঈম; born 1992) is an entrepreneur. Tariq tried to show Conceptual Photo manipulation as a distinguished art in Bangladesh in 2016. He has practiced conceptual photo manipulation for many years.
Tariq first received the winning prize in the Black & White category at the National Photography Exhibition "Shutter Stories, Chapter – 01" in 2016.[1][2] His work was also published in 121 Clicks Flicker Best 100 Photographs in 2015.[3]
Early life and education
Tariq was born in Sirajganj, Bangladesh; he is the younger of two children. Tariq grew up in a middle class Muslim family. He was passionate about drawing & sketching from his early childhood. This made him interested in photography, art and designing.
Tariq completed his Higher Secondary Certificate from Cox's Bazar Commerce College, Cox's Bazar in 2011. He was introduced to photo manipulation whilst studying Bachelor of Business Administration concentrated in Marketing at United International University, Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2014. His interest in manipulation led him to become a photographer of Conceptual Manipulation. Tariq really likes to play with pictures.
Work
Tariq's work has been selected in international & national exhibitions around the world. Although Tariq has a passion for photography and graphic art, he worked as an employee in different companies after completing his graduation in 2016.
His work has been selected in "2016 & 2018 Sony World Photography Awards" by World Photography Organisation,[4][5] 35Awards 2018,[6] 35Awards 2019.[7]
