Ferghana branch of Tashkent university of information technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi was founded with a presidential decree №91 on June 2 of 2005 “On Improving the system of training personnel in the sphere of information technologies” and the order of the Ministry of Higher and secondary education on June 14 of 2005 “On Approving the regulations for the branches of higher education institutions” and the 7-8/2015 Presentation of the Ministry for the Development of information technologies and communications on July 21 2005.

Faculties[edit]

Computer Engineering Faculty[edit]

The faculty of Computer engineering was founded in 2005. It is a leading department in training IT specialists in the region and in the Republic.

Telecommunication Technologies Faculty[edit]

The faculty of Telecommunication technologies and vocational education was founded in 2005. Nowadays the faculty is training specialists on telecommunication technologies, IT vocational education, software engineering and information security.

International relations[edit]

Ferghana branch of Tashkent university of information technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi has established relations with a number of foreign universities in order to increase the number of high skilled IT specialists in our country. Relations established with:

  1. - Ferris State University of the United States of America,
  2. - Moscow communication and information university,
  3. - Ufa State University of oil technologies
  4. - Osh University of Technology
  5. - Kemerovo State University

Library[edit]

The library has 11191 copies of the books with 2331 nominations and has 138 copies of newspaper and journals with 49 nominations

Sports hall[edit]

The university has a sports hall equipped with all necessary modern sports equipment and has open air sports ground.

Computers[edit]

The university has more than 10 computer rooms equipped with more than 200 hundred modern computers.

Innovative clubs[edit]

Innovative clubs are held by well skilled teachers for the students who are interested in programming

Additional opportunities[edit]

There are the centres of “Young scientists” and “Smart club” which are held by our specialists in the branch. The purpose of these centres is collecting gifted students and spending their time in a good way. Also we have clubs in the directions of robot technologies and programming. They all work regularly.
