Tatra KT8D5R.N2 is a modernized variant of the Tatra KT8D5 and Tatra KT8D5SU, an articulated bidirectional tram manufactured by ČKD Tatra between 1986 and 1991 (KT8D5SU in 1993). The KT8D5R.N2 model, updated between 2002 and 2014, features a newly added low-floor section.

The KT8D5R.N2 retains much of the original KT8D5 design, including its three-section articulated body and bidirectional operation, while incorporating new modernizations.
History
First Tatra KT8D5R.N2 appeared in Brno with number 1737 (formerly 519 in Košice). A total of 39 units were modernized in Brno and Košice
The KT8D5R.N2 operates in cities Brno and Košice, where it provides high-capacity transport on busy routes.
