Taxologist
A taxologist is a tax solution architect that spans the gap between traditional tax professionals and tax technologists (IT professionals with specific knowledge of one or more tax technology products). A taxologist may be a tax professional who uses technology to yield results[1] or a holistic designer of corporate-wide tax solutions using the principles of enterprise IT.[2][3] Taxologists are frequently knowledgeable about global tax policy, practices, and trends, and partner with IT professionals on projects for progressive compliance solutions.[4][5]
History[edit]
The word taxologist was officially coined by Thomson Reuters in 2014.[6][7] Starting 2016, PawPaw Taxology further defined and described it as a skill set distinct from that of a tax technologist.[8]
