Tayebeh Ebrahim (born on November 13, 1967 in Tehran) is an actor in theater, cinema and television. In the summer of 1987, she began a two-year acting course at Tehran's Women Theater. She appeared in professional plays from the autumn of that year.

In 1999, she married Faramarz Ghahremanifar, a filmmaker and visual artist. She has a daughter named Ava.

Career[edit]

Her first professional experience in theater, dates back to appearing in the play Mourning Siavash directed by Siavash Tahmours and in the fall of 1988. After appearing in the play Mah Pishooni directed by Javad Khalesi in 1989, during 1991 and 1990, she performed a number of children's plays directed by Susan Maghsoudloo. Another one of her collaborations with Susan Maghsoudloo was in the play Bozboz Ghandi in the autumn of 1991, produced by Soraya Ghasemi. In the summer of 1992, Tayebeh Ebrahim got back on the stage with the play Faries directed by Hossein Ahmadi Nasab.

After acting in a number of plays from 1988 to 1992, in the winter of 1993, she appeared on national television for the first time, with the series Flight 57 directed by Mehran Modiri and Shirin Jahed.

In the spring of 1994, she appeared on TV again with the series Court of Justice directed by Reza Babak. She also appeared in Happy Hour, a series, directed by Mehran Modiri, which was aired during the summer.

Her last collaboration with national television was Nowruz 74 directed by Mehran Azadeh. In the summer of 1995, after three years, she went back on the stage with a play called The Last Supper, written by Mohammad Charmshir and directed by Abbas Ghaffari, which was selected at the first year of Women's Theater Festival. Tayebeh Ebrahim won the award for the best actress. The award was given to her by Seyed Mostafa Mirsalim, the Minister of Guidance at that time.

Tayebeh Ebrahim returned to television in the winter of 1996 with the series Memories directed by Dariush Modabian.

In March of that year, Nowruz 76 was produced by Mehran Modiri and was aired on television during Perian New Year's Eve, Nowruz nights. But, in 1997, she had her first experience on radio, due to her collaboration on Friday Morning with You, a radio program directed by Saeed Tavakol. In the spring of 1999, Excuse me, who are you?, directed by Mehran Modiri, starring Aref Lorestani, Soroush Sehat, Tayebeh Ebrahim, Falamak Joneidi went on air.

She first appeared on the big screen with a film called My Favorite Wife directed by Afshin Sherkat, in 2001.[1][2]After 4 years of separation from television, in 2003, she returned to television with Baghcheh Minoo directed by Reza Safdari and starring Fath Ali Oveisi, Javad Razavian, Bijan Banafshehkhah, Tayebeh Ebrahim, Reza Davoudnejad, Zahra Davoudnejad.[3] In 2003 and 2004, during two collaborations with Ali Shah Hatami, he appeared on two television shows; O Positive and Khosh Ghairat.

Also, for the first time in her career, in 2019, she produced the first short film of Ava Ghahremanifar, called The Gull's Shriek.[4][5][6][7]

In 2021, during the pandemic, Tayebeh Ebrahim reunited with Soraya Ghasemi, Reza Babak, Farideh Sepahmansour, Dariush Moaddabian, Houshang Tavakoli, Golchehreh Sajadiye, Nushin Hasanzadeh, Asghar Hemmat, Reza Fayyazi, and many more on a project of episodic short audio stories called "Telephone Drama" written as a book by Susan Maghsoudlou, which is published every Wednesday.[8] She appears on two episodes called "Dream Vacation" and "Saxophone".[9][10][11][12][13]
