Taylor Grey (born May 29, 1997) is an American singer, songwriter and recording artist. She currently attends Stanford University, majoring in psychology.[citation needed]

Early life[edit]

Taylor Grey was born and raised in Northern California and currently attends Stanford University while balancing her career, schooling and time between Palo Alto and Los Angeles, California.

2016: Career beginnings[edit]

Grey began her musical career in 2016 with the release of her first EP, Mind of Mine (Part 1),[1] followed by the release of the EP Mind of Mine (Part 2).[2] She toured with The X Factor contestant Jacob Whitesides,[3] and later joined The Summer Set on their "Made For You" Tour in the fall of 2016 while attending college.[4]

2017: Space Case and tour[edit]

On February 17, 2017, Grey released the first single, "Never Woulda Letcha," from her debut album, Space Case. It was accompanied by a music video. The single reached the Top 150 on the Mediabase chart.[5] On May 19, 2017, Grey released her second single, "Miami," featuring Spencer Kane. She made her debut performance at the Radio Row opening ceremony of the Billboard Music Awards at Westwood One Backstage at the BBMAs.[6] As a result of her performance Grey appeared on the "Best Dressed" lists of Harper's Bazaar[7] and Elle[8] as a new and upcoming artist. "Miami" has gone to the Top 50 on mediabase. The official music video for "Miami" was released on August 4, 2017. On June 15, 2017, Grey joined Jacob Whitesides on the second leg of his summer "Basically Happy" tour.[9]

On June 16, 2017, Grey released her debut solo album, Space Case, writing the majority of the music and lyrics. The executive producer was Josh Abraham and it was produced and engineered by Nico Stadi. Space Case features a collaboration with Brad Simpson of The Vamps called "Fallin’". Since the release of the album, Grey has opened for O-Town and Ryan Cabrera [10] on several of summer dates, and has performed at radio and other events across the United States.[11][12]
