Teach-Technology Organization
Teach-Technology Organization is an organization in Georgia, U.S. Co-founded by Ameya Jadhav and Daksha Jadhav in December of 2016, Teach-Technology Organization works to help seniors and children use technology to its fullest potential. They teach seniors and children the basics of technology through the use of instructional PowerPoints and interactive sessions.
Mission
Their mission is to help bridge the digital divide with seniors and to introduce and spark an interest in programming for young children.
Objective
Teach-Technology Organization's main objective is to help seniors with their technology devices and help them incorporate technology into their life to the fullest potential, and to introduce children to programming and spark an interest in them for the future.
Current progress
As of February 2019, Teach-Technology Organization has conducted over 66 sessions in the Forsyth, Northern Fulton and Gwinnett counties of Georgia, United States of America. These 66 sessions include their Python Programming classes at public libraries, their sessions for Seniors at senior living facilities, and an Alpharetta Major League Hacking[1][2] Hackathon[3]. Throughout the 66 sessions, Teach-Technology Organization has helped over 366 students and seniors in 7 different locations.
Activities
Sessions for seniors
Teach-Technology currently conducts their sessions for seniors at the Villas at Canterfield[4] and Phoenix at Milton[5] senior living facilities. They conduct these sessions to help the seniors at both these locations with any problems they might have with their technology devices that they use on a daily basis and to help them fully incorporate technology into their daily lives.
Python programming
Currently, Teach-Technology Organization conducts their Python Programming classes at the Cumming Library[6], Milton Library[7], and the Ocee Library[8]. They teach students (grades 5 to 12) the basics of the Python programming language through their 4 week Python classes. They hope to introduce programming to children at a young age in order to spark an interest in them for the future.
As of February 2019[update], Teach-Technology Organization has held 5 batches of their 4-week Python Programming classes at the three public libraries mentioned above.
