Teardrop Nirvana is a garden created in 1680 and located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. There has been an expansion and growing of each aspect of the garden over three hundred years. Owned by a private company, this residential property has grown since the creation and no owner resides on the property since 1880. The use of lavender throughout creates spiritual healing, tranquility, and promotes calmness.[1] The main feature of the garden is the creation of a human head using only shrubbery, flowers surrounding the face run from the eyes to create an abstract teardrop path. Maintenance is carried out on this sculpture. The second main aspect of the garden is the Bubble Maze, including hundreds of shrubs, cut into abstract and organic shapes. There is also room for bird and insect watching, where the black curassow can be seen. This bird is commonly seen in humid forest areas throughout South America.[2]
