Tecnoesis is the annual techno-management fest of National Institute of Technology Silchar. Started with the aim of providing a platform for the student community to develop and showcase their technical prowess, Tecnoesis has expanded it’s horizon to become one of India’s prominent Techno-management Festival.
Introduction[edit]
Tecnoesis is the result of the sincere and wholehearted involvement of student fraternity of NIT Silchar. Tecnoesis paves a platform for all the yearlong efforts made by cerebrums to transform their technical innovations into a reality. The successive chapters of this mega event has seen a fold-ly increase in the people it serves to. Over several years it has managed to stand in the pinnacle among all its peer techno-management festivals and is crown of all the techno-management fests in the northeast India
Events[edit]
Robotron Module[edit]
Robotron, as the name suggests revolves around the fascinating world of robots and has successfully managed to incorporate the ideals of various fields of engineering to tackle the ever evolving innovative challenges. Robotics uses the combination of the knowledge of various disciplines of engineering and applies it to create some of the most advanced machines mankind has ever seen.The event has always been a crowd favourite and the tally of its enormity rises every year.
Sumo Wars[edit]
From the WALL-Es to the Terminators to Sophia, robots have instilled fascination in us all at one point of our life or the other. Sumo Wars gives us the opportunity to live out this fascination and devise our own fully functional autonomous bots. Sumo fight is an ancient form of art practiced in eastern countries for centuries as a sport. It involves a combat between the contestants in which they try to overthrow the opponent out of arena. SUMO WARS is inspired by the same, with the exception that bots try to overrun the other bots using their swiftness and robustness.
Robo Wars[edit]
The flagship event of Robotron module, Robowars, sees the age old entertainment of two robots battling it out in the center to be the last one standing. This presents a chance for the challenger to show their robotic acumen, intellect, and fighter spirit. Teams are encouraged to equip their bots with high torqued industrial motors, protective armour sheets, and well designed weapons to take down the enemy bot. Teams participate with weapons, shatterproof shields and auxiliary industrial motors installed in their bots to knock down the opponent's bot. There is a one-on-one tournament.
Terrain Treader[edit]
Innovation is an adventurous process, and so Tecnoesis' Terrain Trader is an event where your creative intelligence is put to the test. This encourages students to design such a robot that uses innovative solutions to the challenges faced on the arena. Driving over rough terrain will be difficult and the solution to the problems will be highly interdisciplinary.This event tests the efficiency, power, and skill of robots with obstacles and harsh terrain.
Myndsnare[edit]
What has racing hearts, clicking pens and genius minds pitted against each other? The only answer fit will be ‘Myndsnrae’. ‘Myndsnare’ is an open quizzing event where students from across the country compete for exciting prizes. Watch in awe as the quizzers battle it out in a bid for the ultimate glory. Previous versions of Mynsnare have seen well known from the Quizzing fraternity such as Abhra Das, Kushan Patel, Kapinjal Kishore, Major Chandrakant Nair and Quizzing Champion Late Vikram Joshi as Quizmasters.
Conferenza[edit]
Conferenza is the Guest lecture module of Tecnoesis. “CONFERENZA” hosts innovators and achievers from around India. Conferenza has been blessed with the presence of personalities like Balaji Vishwanathan, Padma Shri Uddhab Kumar Bharali, Ex-IAS Vivek Atray, Dr. Pawan Agarwal, Pooja Seth, for the past few years.
NITS::HACKS[edit]
One of the grandest module of Tecnoesis, back again to cater the technical hunger of the masses. NITS::HACKS 2.0 is all about providing the enthusiasts with a taste of the emerging technical aspects of real life applications. The idea is to bring together as many celebrated minds in the field of tech on the same stage where they can compete and build together. Various Events under this module are:
Hackathon[edit]
“Hackathon” where students from inside and outside the college will get a platform to build upon their innovative ideas and exchanging their thoughts so as to enhance their technical skills and abilities, is all set to be the headliner of the grand conference. At the Hackathon, we want to get great minds together to build something great, something futuristic. It’s an opportunity to showcase your skills to your peer community, locally and worldwide. All in an intense 24-hour burst.
Coding Competition[edit]
“Coding Competition” indulges coder-geeks from all over the country in a fiesty battle of brains. The coding competition will be structured similar to the ACM style. The coding extravaganza will be consisting of mind boggling brain teasers and the taste of bittersweet algorithm implementation. Rest assured it is going to be a nightmarish experience for the coders but it will also be an experience worth remembering.
ASME[edit]
This is organized by ASME, NIT Silchar. Creativity and logical thinking skills are employed in mechanical engineering ranging from design to simulation to making simple automobile objects. Events under this module are Draft Ritz, Sailor Safari and Rocketo Polemos
Archinova[edit]
This is a event conducted to initiate and encourage the process of innovative thinking in the field of structural designing and search for new ideas to transform our surroundings. In this event, the competing team has to prepare a model and give a presentation on it clearly stating its aim, working procedures and advantages.Youths create viable real world construction models to address environmental challenges. The event is intended to convey the beauty of engineering.
Cyberwarp[edit]
Cyberwarp allows students to develop something of their own, show their creativity, and gain valuable insights. Events range from Data Science puzzles, Photography competitions, Online Treasure Hunts
Pixelate[edit]
The gift of distinct vision and the art of portraying it through your lens is what photography is all about. In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality. Pixelate [1] is a hunt for all those visionaries who can keep us stunned with their lenses. Under different themes, this online photography competition gets participation from all over the country.
TechZenith[edit]
Every being in this world their unique capabilities and ideas. Who knows if one among these ignited minds might become mankind’s invaluable treasure TechZenith provides the perfect opportunity to school students to sharpen their minds and showcase their logical & reasoning skills. With the rise of mankind’s never ending problem, our Earth needs these ignited minds to protect herself as well our upcoming generations and to boost the rate of progress.
V-Warz[edit]
As the world leaps forward to a new era of gaming, humans get to witness jaw-dropping skills and take perilous decisions. V-Warz is the gaming module of Tecnoesis. It will definitely causes an amaranthine adrenaline rush and a steampunk chaos as Tecnoesis' own ultimate gaming battle : V-Warz. Join hands with your allies and face the most formidable foes. Prepare your game-plan as the most lethal gaming battle awaits the best gamers fighting for glory. Every second matters! Wage a war against fate, turn the tables and be the last one standing!
Empresaario[edit]
Empresaario focuses on management by utilising events to stimulate students' desire for entrepreneurship and exploring management. This is entrepreneurship module of Tecnoesis. Events under this module are Pitching event called Pitch Please, If I were the CEO as an online event, Bech ke Dikhao as a crowd event, and Plantastic.
Spark[2][edit]
The coup de grace event of the annual techno-management festivals. Culminating the end of festivities in form of a musical extravaganza, Spark is the spectacle to behold. From edm artists to classical artists, from rock bands to solo singers,the Spark night truly covers the art of production and provides the drive to feature the elite artists of the present generation. This event is surely a one-stop store for the musical exhilaration and melody! Previous artists Bands Nalayak[3] and Underground Authority, Moti Khan, DJ Rob&Jack, DJ Shanaya, Band Purple Fushion, Madboy/Mink, Baiju Dharmajan Syndicate, Divine Connection, Girish and the Chronicles, Syndicate, Ganesh Talkies
Exhibition[edit]
They say stories that can't be put into words can be explained by photographs. This is what the exhibition event in Tecnoesis tries to achieve. Not only does it provides an exciting for budding photographers to showcase their skills, but also the visitors, a pathway to escape to a moment in time and at a place you weren’t a part of, to relive it from your perspective and reinterpret it to your imagination.

Kalpana Cycle Marathon[edit]
A cycle marathon organised in the beloved memory of the late Kalpana Chawla bythe Tecnoesis fraternity. It is solely dedicated to the woman and is being taken up as an initiative for the greater good.
SPIC Macay-Virasat[4][edit]
Spic Macay is one of kind cultural festival. It unfolds a magnificent exhibit diverse culture and talents in the form of workshops, competitions and soulful musical evening.
Blood Donation Camp[edit]
Perhaps, the most noble of all deeds a person can do during his life is to save another. We welcome companies to serve this motto.
Nukkad Natak[edit]
This initiative comprises of short dramas, which highlights the social problems of the society, thus increasing the awareness among the people.
Ek Prayas- Gyansagar[edit]
An initiative accomplished by the members of Gyansagar for betterment of the underprivileged students by providing them education through free tuitions.
Eco Club- NIT Silchar[edit]
Various initiatives like tree plantation, conservation of energy by using solar panels etc are undertaken by this club, promising us a better future. With this in mind, we call for aids to help its wonderful drives take on Tecnoesis.
