Tejas Mayekar (in Hindi तेजस मयेकर is an Indian blogger and a professional web designer[1] He was born on 2 October 1999 at Mumbai, the financial, commercial and entertainment capital of India. He is popularly known for his articles and books related to web technologies.[2]
Early Life[edit]
Tejas Mayekar had a huge fascination with the internet since his childhood. Thus, he started his own blog where he used to post about the latest technology and tricks related to software.
Back then, Tejas Mayekar was really good at drawing. Being a creative kid at school, he won many drawing competitions including the All India Camlin Drawing competition in 2003 (2nd place).[3]
Education[edit]
Earlier, Tejas Mayekar used to be a resident of JNPT Township located in Uran thus, he studied in Jawaharlal Nehru Port Vidyalaya (IES) till 5th grade.
After that, he moved to Panvel and as a result, Tejas had to join Mahatma School of Academics and Sports. That’s where he studied till 10th grade. He scored really well in 10th grade and got admission in one of the reputed junior colleges in Vashi, Navi Mumbai – St. Mary’s. Since he was good at science, Tejas opted for the science side and passed out of St. Mary’s Juinor college.
Currently, Tejas Mayekar is an undergraduate studying at Pillai College of Engineering, New Panvel. His major is Computer Engineering.[4]
Blogging[edit]
Tejas Mayekar loved surfing on the internet and was very well interested in getting my own website on the web. Therefore, he created his own blog using Blogger and started posting about technology-related stuff. One of his articles got picked up by Google search and got a lot of traction.
Later on, Tejas went on creating multiple blogs including Binarybitt and Creativity Explode. These blogs received a great response from the public and helped many people.[5]
Eventually, when Tejas got into web designing, he temporarily discontinued all of his blogs since he wanted to focus on building a solid foundation for web designing.
Web Designing[edit]
After completing junior college, Tejas Mayekar started learning the basics of building websites like HTML, CSS, JavaScript.etc. He was more inclined towards the front-end i.e, the designing part of the webpages. Thus, Tejas taught himself graphic design since it helps to create the primary designs of the websites before doing the coding part.
Soon Tejas got really good at it and decided to try his luck in freelancing.
As Tejas Mayekar has outlined his book ‘Freelancing Days: Being My Own Boss by Tejas Mayekar‘, He had both positive and negative experiences but it introduced him to the corporate world.
He has also worked with Google and Facebook in their UI/UX test cycles which consisted of testing their new products and apps.
