Tekin Akmansoy (born January 20, 1924, Sarayköy – died February 12, 2013) is a Turkish theater and cinema artist.[1]

Tekin Akmansoy, who served in various theaters for many years, was one of the *meddah* artists. Starting in 1974, he came to the forefront with the role of the shrewd businessman Nuri Kantar in *Kaynanalar*. This character was portrayed in the *Kaynanalar* movies and the series for many years, as well as in the *Kaynalar* and *Nöri Gantar* family series. In the 1990s, his daughter Arzu Akmansoy directed and he later returned to television with new series of *Kaynanalar*, as well as series such as *Görmeler*. In 1998 he received the title of State Artist. He revived the character of Tahir Pamukçuoğlu. He lost his life on February 12, 2013 in hospital, following treatment for pneumonia; he was buried next to his wife Meral Akmansoy, who died in 2002, at the Zincirlikuyu Cemetery, following a service at the Teşvikiye Mosque on Thursday, February 14, 2013.[2]
