Usage

This template is designed to replace banner templates of inactive WikiProjects. The template is not visible — however the page is categorized as belonging to an inactive WikiProject. This helps users later revive the project without cluttering the talk-page interface.

The easiest way to convert a banner template to an inactive state, is to replace WPBannerMeta with WPBannerMeta/inactive.

Parameters

The only required parameters are:

• PROJECT - the name of the WikiProject (but without the word "WikiProject")
• BANNER_NAME - the page name of the banner template
• category - should be passed to allow category optout, i.e. |category={{{category|}}}

However all the other Template:WPBannerMeta parameters can and should be retained, as this will make it easier to "revive" the project in the future.
