Temporary Roommates
Temporary Roommates [1] is an Indian romantic comedy web series produced by Chaibisket. It was written and directed by Vikas Thippani, starring Charan Lakkaraju, Nanda Kumar Daroju and Tanuja Madhurapantula in the lead roles. The show revolves around roommates Sandeep and Karthik, who were asked by their friend, Arjun, to safeguard his girlfriend Deepika in their room for some time. Eventually, they become close friends and Sandeep falls in love with Deepika. The first season, consisting of 12 episodes, premiered on YouTube [2] on 29 August 2021 and ended on 3 December 2021.
Plot
Sandeep, a Chartered accountant working from home, and Karthik, a struggling actor who is working on a daily serial, are roommates. They met each other online and decided to share a flat. They are living peacefully in their bachelor flat until one day Arjun, a childhood friend of Sandeep, brings his girlfriend, Deepika, into their flat without any prior notice and asks for their help to allow her to stay there for 3 days. Arjun goes on an outstation work trip to Gujarat, North India. The Indian government announces a country-wide lockdown due to the pandemic COVID-19 spread in the country. Arjun gets stuck in North India and Deepika gets stuck in the boys’ flat for 2 months. The rest of the plot is about how Sandeep and Karthik manage to live with a girl in their flat, hiding her from their woman-hating flat owner and, at the same time, from her powerful father who is searching for her.

Temporary Roommates has been well received by the audience. The series, hosted on Chaibisket’s official YouTube channel, has since gathered over 1 million views for each episode.
