A temporary work company is one that temporarily offers its employees to another company.

The legal regulation of temporary work companies arises as a result of the regulations established in Convention 96 of the International Labor Organization (ILO) approved in 1933 and amended in 1949, as the different countries have adopted it, creating the corresponding national legislations. The concept of a temporary employment agency, referred to in principle as a " paid employment agency ", as set out in ILO Convention 96, is as follows:
