Tennis Premier League
The Tennis Premier League (TPL) is an annual tennis league that takes place in India. Founded in 2018, the upcoming tennis tournament season 4[1] will take place in December 2022[2]. The league is supported by the All India Tennis Association (AITA), Maharashtra State Lawn Tennis Association (MSLTA) and Indian Wheelchair Tennis Tour (IWTT)].
Former international tennis players such as Leander Paes and Sania_Mirza are a part of this League. When asked about it, Paes said, "The League is very important to me as it's helping the sport of tennis to grow. As we have seen in the past, the Indian Premier League (IPL) or the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) are becoming very popular in India".
Season 3 which was held in 2021, Goran Ivenisevic, the current coach of global tennis player Novak Djokovic, was a part of TPL's earlier season. Currently in Season 4[3], the winner of Wimbledon Championship 2022 Men's Doubles and Matthew Ebden from Australia is going to be a part of the league.
There are 8 teams participating in Season 4[4] are – Mumbai Leon Army, co-owned by Leander Paes, Finecab Hyderabad Strikers, co-owned by Rakul Preet Singh, Delhi Binny’s Brigade, co-owned by Divya Khosla Kumar, Pune Jaguars, co-owned by Sonali Bendre Behl, Chennai Stallions, co-owned by Aditi Rao Hydari, Bengaluru Spartans, Gujarat Panthers and a newly formed team, Punjab Tigers.

The Founders of Tennis Premier League are Kunal Thakkur and Mrunal Jain. The League kicked off its first season in October 2018.
Team Formation In TPL there are a total of 8 city team’s in the League, with 48 players battling out for the final title (including AITA’s top 10, National & International players). Each team has their own owner with a mentor, coach, a physio and nutritionist to hone their skills in every aspect. In this league, the owners and the mentors travel to 4 cities and give an opportunity to the upcoming players in the country.
Auctions They also have a selection of marquee players, National & International players, a total of 20 Men & 10 Women professionals, which will be auctioned by all the team owners. Followed by press conferences & photo ops with tennis personalities as well as some popular faces.
