Terence Harris is a Senior Health and Safety Professional and Environmental Health Practitioner within the National Health Service. Terence currently works at Liverpool University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust[1] where he is Head of Compliance & Safety. He has written national guidance[2] and articles about safety in healthcare and is a regular contributor to government forums[3][4], papers, professional literature, and Environmental Health careers panels. [5]Harris received his BSc (Hons) in Environmental Health at Liverpool John Moores University in 2014 and a Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety in 2009, holding dual accreditation in both Environmental Health and Health and Safety.

He is currently studying for a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), alongside the ILM Level 7 Diploma in Leadership and Management at the University of Chester Business School and an NCRQ Diploma in Applied Health and Safety as part of his professional CPD (2019).

Terence has worked for both public & private organisations and for the NHS for over 18 years in various different positions from Phlebotomist to Senior Management, the majority of which at Aintree University Hospital. He is an experienced Health and Safety Practitioner with over 10 years’ experience in Health and Safety & Environmental Health and holds Membership of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (MCIEH) and Graduate Member status of the Institution of Occupational Safety & Health (IOSH) (GradIOSH).

Volunteer roles include St John Ambulance as the District Health, Safety & Environmental Officer (Safety Officer) for Merseyside & Cheshire West, supporting volunteers and events across the region including at Aintree Racecourse, Liverpool Echo Arena, and Liverpool & Everton Football Stadium.
