Terissa Kelton (born December 29, 1988 in Victoria, TX) is an actor and producer of film and television series whose credits include live-action and animation. She is the co-founder and Executive Vice President of Rehab Entertainment. Along with partner, John W. Hyde, Kelton executive produced Harriet The Spy, an animated series based on the novel by Louise Fitzhugh, for AppleTV+.[1] Kelton and Hyde are currently overseeing development and production on a wide variety of projects.
Kelton is executive producing a feature film adaptation of Prophet[2], based on the graphic novel by Rob Liefeld. In 2021, it was announced by Studio 8 that Sam Hargrave would be attached as director with Jake Gyllenhaal to star.[3]
For Disney+, Kelton is executive producing a feature film adaptation of Flight of the Navigator with Bryce Dallas Howard attached to direct.[4]
In partnership with Spyglass Media Group, Kelton is executive producing a feature film adaptation Short Circuit.[5]
In kids/family and in partnership with The Jim Henson Company, Kelton is executive producing a live-action puppet project based on the best-selling book, The Kissing Hand, by Audrey Penn.[6] And in animation, Kelton is developing and will executive produce a preschool series based on the book, The Colors of Us, by Karen Katz.[7]
Before moving to Los Angeles in 2015, Kelton produced and acted in several feature films on the indie film circuit. Most notably, her feature film, 3 References, made its world premiere at the 20th Austin Film Festival.[8]
