Terrier (search engine)

The Terrier IR Platform is a modular open source software for the rapid development of large-scale information retrieval applications. Terrier was developed by members of the Information Retrieval Research Group, Department of Computing Science, at the University of Glasgow.[1]

A core version of Terrier is available as open source software under the Mozilla Public License.[1]

Terrier is written in Java.[1] Development started in 2004.[2][3]
