Teruyoshi Joshua Oto (オトジョシュア 輝恵, Joshua Teruyoshi Oto, born 7 Oct 1998) is a Japan-born Tongan rugby union player who currently plays as a Lock for Kubota Spears in Japan's domestic Top League. He is son of the Tongan-Japanese former rugby union player, Lopeti Oto.

Early career[edit]

Teruyoshi Joshua Oto is a native of the Aichi Prefecture region in Japan. He attended Hachioji's High School in his hometown where he started playing rugby in the third grade of elementary school and was in the basketball club when he was in junior high school and high school. He was third in the national club championships in junior high school and also participated in the Inter-High, National Athletic Meet, and Winter Cup in high school.

In 2017, after graduating from Hachioji Gakuen Hachioji High School, he entered Teikyo University.

He joined Kubota Spears in 2021 after graduating from Teikyo University
