The Business and Commerce Code is the statutory law enacted by the Texas state legislature regulating the organization of businesses, business practices and agreements, fraud, consumer issues, and marketing. The code was enacted in 1967 by Texas HB 293, 60th R.S. during the ongoing revision process begun in 1963.
